We have a cosy yet spacious heated and insulated yurt with annexe containing seating and a table. There are tea/coffee making facilities, toaster and fridge. You are welcome to use our microwave in the lobby of the main house. The annexe opposite the yurt is a great place to sit and have breakfast or just to chill out. We have various visitors to the garden such as butterflies, blackbirds, wrens and if its a warm day you may spy a pair of buzzards circling above. A breakfast basket is served to your door each morning and homemade cake will welcome you on arrival.

Guest Access to Yurt
The yurt and annexe are solely for our guests. Our ducks (and dog!) are free range but are very friendly and share the garden with you. The toilet is situated through the garden in the lobby and has a basin with hot/cold running water. You are very welcome to use the shower room in the main house (just ask). Parking is off road in our driveway.
Interaction with Guests
I or my husband are usually around the house. Just knock if you need anything or want to know about the surrounding area or the island in general. We obviously leave you to your own devices as much as possible!
The Neighbourhood and getting around
We are on the main Newport/Cowes road but have fields at the front and a meadow (usually with sheep), woods and lovely views at the back.
The Yurt is near a good bus route, buses every 10 minutes and the stop for both Cowes and Newport is only a few minutes walk away, next to our nearest pub! Nowhere on the island is more than around 40 minutes drive, traffic permitting!
Other Things to Note
Although there is electricity in the yurt water needs to be collected from the outside tap at the top of the garden. 2 large, filled containers will be left for your arrival and you may not need to refill them depending on length of stay. The garden is lit by fairy lights but please use a torch at night if going up to the lobby as the ground is a little uneven.
